Dorothy F. Hagen of deCordova, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Plano.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Acton United Methodist Church, historic White Chapel, 3433 Fall Creek Highway, Granbury, Texas 76049.
Mrs. Hagen was born March 17, 1920 in Dallas to Ervin Preston Fisher and Helen Ola Mark Fisher. Dorothy grew up in Arcadia Park (near Oak Cliff). She graduated from Sunset High School in 1938. She married LJ "Jack" Hagen on April 6, 1956 in Dallas, and worked at Mobil Oil Research Laboratory in Duncanville until retiring in 1982.
A long-time resident of Granbury, Dorothy had many lasting friendships and will be missed dearly by her family and friends, both old and new. She was bottled sunshine and met life with a smile, dignity, grace and humor. The family is deeply grateful to the staff at Life Care of Plano for the care and love given to Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Freta and Zelma.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Charles "Sonny" Erwin Fisher; her sons David Hagen of Granbury and Bob Hagen and wife, Judy, of Plano; her grandsons, David Hagen and wife, Amy, of Fort Worth, Christopher Hagen of Arlington, Bradley Hagen of Kansas City, Mo.; her great- grandchildren, Samantha Hagen, Richard Hagen, Steven Hagen; her step-grandson, Steven Allen of Argyle; her step- granddaughter, Stephanie Holland of Garland; and her step-great-grandson, Zachary Ryan Holland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
