Clarence Linton Young

Clarence Linton Young of Granbury, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Fort Worth surrounded by his family.
There will be a celebration of life luncheon at the Perry Country Club in Hamilton on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. for family and friends.
Clarence was born March 9, 1924 in Hamilton, to Charlie and Zelma Babbitt Young. He married his Hamilton high school sweetheart, Kathryn Redden Young on Oct. 16, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif.
Clarence served in the U.S. Army, and earned many awards as a salesman for Southwestern Drug. Later, he and his wife owned and operated Country Club Pharmacy in Dallas for 25 years.
They retired in 1990 to Pecan Plantation where he was an avid golfer. He was a 60 year Mason and member of the Granbury Masonic Lodge 392, Hella Shriners of Garland, and the Valley of Dallas Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two brothers, Orville and Charles Young.
Survivors include a son, Kyle Young and wife Terri; two grandsons, Dustin and Derek; special caregiver, Paul Hughes all of Granbury; special nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and his faithful dog, Bubba.
